We are one of Switzerland's leading business law firms and are looking to strengthen our Legal Tech & Innovation team in Zurich or Geneva by hiring a proactive and service-oriented Legal Engineer (60–80%), with immediate effect or by arrangement.
What you can expect from us
This position is embedded within the Legal Tech & Innovation team and focuses on detailed application-level configuration, SaaS tools, and technical support for legal workflows. You will act as a specialist for our legal application landscape and provide responsive ad-hoc support for client mandates.
Your responsibilities:
- Configure, update, and maintain the firm's proprietary AI platform
- Configure and support cloud-based applications, including legal AI platforms, e-signature and other digital tools
- Provide ad-hoc technical support for client mandates by analyzing, transforming, and cleaning data, as well as automating repetitive tasks
- Assist end users directly to resolve technical questions, troubleshoot issues, and maximize tool adoption across practice groups
- Advise lawyers and legal staff on how to effectively and responsibly integrate AI and legal tech features into their daily workflows
- Support basic integrations between applications and manage simple data flows using APIs
- Create and maintain application-level documentation, systems guidance, and process manuals in English
- Collaborate closely with the Legal Tech & Innovation team, core IT, and internal practice groups
Your profile:
- Completed training or degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Legal Tech, or equivalent technical qualification
- 2–3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within a professional services or corporate environment
- Practical Python scripting skills for process automation, basic integrations, and ad-hoc mandate support (data analysis and transformation)
- Hands-on experience in application-level setup, configuration, and support of SaaS tools
- Strong user-support focus: resolving queries, advising lawyers on legal tech workflows, and driving adoption without escalating routine issues
- Clear communicator: able to bridge technical and legal topics, working independently and reliably within the defined scope
- Fluency in English (written and spoken), combined with excellent German or French skills
- Familiarity with LLM/RAG tooling, interest in legal tech, or experience in a startup / small tech team context is an advantage
